Historic Site
Teacher's Pet is located on the lower level of Anoka's Historic Post Office Building (300 East Main Street), formerly referred to as the Federal Building. This Georgian Revival Building was designed by Minnesota architect James Knox Taylor and was constructed in 1916 at a cost of $60,000. It served as a US Post Office 1917-1977 and was listed as one of Anoka County's historic properties in 1979; it's currently listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The building is now privately owned and is home to several unique businesses, including Teacher's Pet!
